While Winter is taking over in our lines of lattitude, there are still a bunch of places, where biking is possible without compromises. In a sense. A few weeks ago we met Marco Bugnone in Sanremo at the ligurian Coast of Italy. Romi introduced us with Marco and since we wanted to do something in Italy again, it was obvious that we teamed up with a genuine Italian to capture a nice part. During our stay we lived in the house of Roberto Vernassa, team chief of the Argentina Bike Gravity Team. And since we’ve been to Sanremo together with Schwalbe this spring, we knew that we wanted to do something with an Ape, so Roberto pulled some strings and bam! We had an Ape to transport our crew and equipment at our disposal for the entire three days. Or so. We filmed in and around San Romolo, which is above Sanremo, and after it started to rain (no matter where we are, probability of precipitation is always at 90%) we went to San Bartolomeo, where we were able to attend some of Marcos most advanced cursing arts, as a bunch of hunters weren’t very happy about our presence and the fact, that we were shooting a bike film in “their” hunting grounds. Filming with Marco was very funny as well as some few difficulties in language and comprehension. As the one part of us returned home to get back to work, Fabian and his girlfriend went to Corsica straight away to take well-deserved two-week-holiday. The two weeks are over and there’s still a lot to do. So long & caccole avanti!
Grazie Paula, Gianluca e Roberto!
